TILT : (Thurs) Being Faculty

One thing interesting about this Penn State gig is that my colleague and I are called faculty. Now, my wife is a professor, so it's not new. But, I'm not one. So, to be carrying around a "faculty" badge is pretty interesting. Or thought provoking. It reminds me that I always thought I'd be a teacher, but it didn't pay well. My own job as an analyst and before that writing for a technical magazine certainly could be considered a form of teaching, but I think it does pay better. It's interesting comparing what I do compared to what my wife does -- when in a sense we do very similar things. Odd. Or, for that matter, not odd. Interesting.
