My daughter and I went to the DC United game Sat nite. They WON. Finally. For a good team to be so poor this season is not a good sign. So it was nice to have something to cheer about along with the rest of the fan club faithful. I also recorded the game to watch highlights later and yet still couldn't pick myself out in the fan stand shots. I like it when they win.Amazing how being a fan of a club can generate significant emotional satisfaction or displeasure. We need the outlet, I guess. Opiate for the masses? Is sports the new religion? We do attend more of that than church I think, particularly on NFL Sundays (I speak for myself here).
