TILT: (Thurs) Cooking at the beach

The way we do it, we have each major family grouping own cooking (and shopping) for one nite. We chose the first nite, this time, which meant fewer people but less time to prepare -- we'd only gotten into the house 3 hours before we had to serve dinner. So, a quick but also huge first shop of the week haul (over $700 of food and drink, amazingly), then some quick cooking of pasta, chicken and salad. Nothing fancy for us. Just hope we didn't overcook the chicken. It worked. That's all we hope for. Cheaper than eating out and more fun -- we can be louder and more relaxed. So, a good time was had by all. Oh, and to top it off, we get to clean up after ourselves -- and the other 15 people in the house. Don't usually cook nor clean for that many in one meal. Wow. What a bunch of marauders!
